Best sushi I have tried in my life, one of my friend who recently visited Tokyo advised me to try this restaurant out & upon my recent visit to Tokyo I decided to take him up on his word and was glad I made that choice.The restuarant was super busy but the turn around is quick and we were seated quickly. You have 2 option for eat in, either order from the menu or pick up anything you like of the belt and each plate has a differnet price linked to it. We did a combination of menu ordering and off the belt.The sushi was super fresh and taste wonderful, the price was a bit on the high end but for the experience and the quality of the food, it's worth it. I highly recommend to eat here when in town.

Conveyor belt style sushi restaurant, though if you'd like anything from the menu that you can't see on the conveyor belt, you can call on the waiters walking around you to order that item. Personally, I'm unsure how to rate the quality of the sushi as I haven't been around Japanese sushi places enough, though I was able to try squid and octopus for the first time. Large variety of rolls.

The otoro was quite delicious and the pufferfish was sublime. Highly recommend you take the plunge and try the puffer fish, an experience not to miss.

I came to the conveyor belt because there was a shorter queue than to the set menu. I ended up spending less than I would have on the set menu , but all the menu options available are the same. Even though it might seem set menu works out better the a la carte conveyor is the way to go. So long as you don't always order the most expensive option

It might be a conveyor belt chain but the sushi here was some of the best I've ever had.The prices are very reasonable and it's right in the middle of Tsukiji market - one of the world's most exciting street food spots. My wife and I helped ourselves to a sumptuous selection of sushi from the conveyor belt and ordered a few extra things too.They have free unlimited matcha green tea at the table and hot water taps as well as pickled ginger, soy sauce etc.You'll probably have to wait a few minutes for a seat but it moves quickly and they are very efficient.

I'm not a fan of sashimi, but I loved the sushi here. Very fresh and succulent.

Surprisingly good budget sushi. There are several branches in the same area, so if one has a monster queue, wander around amd check the other 3 or 4 branches.

Brought my son to this sushi place last Tue while visiting Tokyo. Not too many people coz it's a weekday morning, however the sushi quality is very, very good. The tuna set, shrimp and crab paste are our favorite. We wanna come back on Sat morning but there was a long queue at the door already. Anyway, a great place for real fresh sashimi and sushi with reasonable price, will certainly be back again. 😀

The best sushi place I have ever tried. Fresh, high quality fish, lots of available choices in the conveyor belt and can also order directly from the sushi chefs in case what you want is not in the belt, friendly staff, affordable prices. I would like to return, it's my last day in Japan today, so I would really try to get back. Believe me when I say, ''you will not regret trying it".

One of the best rotary sushi bars in Tsukiji Outer Market or one of the best rotary sushi bars in Tokyo! Fresh seafood and good service!

We came to the Tsukiji Market a little too late in the day, maybe 4pm? And most of the great shops were closed. A few restaurants were open and we wanted to get sushi. So we popped into Sushi Zanmai, a rotating sushi place that was very full at the time. We were seated right away and food came out quickly. We noticed a lot of the same 3 dishes were on rotation. We tried them, they were ok. We decided to not wait for the good stuff but instead put in orders directly with the chefs. This proved to be more effective. All of the fatty tuna cuts were super yummy. I think you can skip most of the shrimp stuff.

Fresh sushi right inside the tsukjji market, staff speak some English so not hard to order additional things you don't see on the conveyor.

Loved it! Our first time there, it gets packed quickly, prices were reasonable but quality was fantastic. Plenty of seating but the place, again fills up quick.

This branch gets a five from me. For some unknown reason, the freshness seems to trounce the other branches using conveyor belts. The sushi chefs works faster too and the rice grains separate inside the mouth releasing the vinegar flavours beautifully. The sign suggests that it opens at 8am

Had better from another outlet during my last visit, before the fish market got relocated. I felt food quality was better then. Decent, but I’m certain there are better joints out there.

Sushi train/conveyor style that is both inexpensive and decent quality. Staff, in particular the chefs, were very friendly and warm. I saw one chef take a moment to be in a selfie a tourist was taking.This, apparently chain, restaurant has got it figured out. Most of the popular dishes are numerous on the train, and if you're not seeing something you like you can speak with the chef directly and ask for a particular dish. Your order will then be prepped quickly and given to you directly.It capped off our experience at Tsukiji perfectly.

Excellent sushi and right within Tsukiji market. We found that this restaurant had some of the best price-to-portion options and the food looked good. Overall the fatty tuna and salmon were excellent, and the options that were available were on par price-wise with other things nearby. The service was adequate as well. Recommended!

This conveyor belt sushi was probably the best experience! Relative to America, super cheap but amazing sushi! Salmon is my favorite and I had to keep ordering more! As you can see the seating is pretty small and also close to each other so plan on making friends. Will need to come back!

So good!! The otoro is amazing and so cheap! Everything there was really good. Very friendly staff who were all very accommodating of my use of English for communication.

I am probably the biggest sushi lover in the world. Of all the places I've ever eaten sushi, zanmai is by far the best. Their quality of fish, freshness, environment, chefs and staff are unmatched. It's rare that you'll have the best meal of your life and for you to be able to feel that way every time you eat there. However, I've been here 3 times and each time has felt like the first all over again. When I come to Japan Sushi Zanmai is a place that I need to come to every visit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This is my favorite sushi place in Tokyo. The prices are unbeatable, the tuna is fatty and delicious, and the sushi chefs are super nice.I can feast here for under $30 and I eat a lot!

Not a great conveyor belt sushi experience compared to other options. They typically don't put the interesting items on the belt so you have to order off the menu. We ordered tuna off the menu and it was beyond cold/almost frozen. Service from the waitstaff is just okay too. Prices are higher because of the area.

Probably one of the better value for money chain restaurants in Tokyo, having its roots at Tsukiji. Now they are literally everywhere in Tokyo.

Unpretentious conveyor belt sushi bar with the highest quality of seafood in the heart of Ginza's tsukiji fish market. You absolutely do not need to know how to speak Japanese to eat here. A wee bit tricky to find, but worth the search. Limited seating, but service is fast so wait, if any, is typically short. Kampei.
